On November 16, 2024, the Ateneo Intellectual Property Office (AIPO) hosted a delegation from New Energy Nexus Vietnam under the NEXGen Program, giving them a tour of Ateneo de Manila University’s innovation hubs.
After lunch, the group met with Engr Benjamin Mirasol, Head of AIPO’s Commercialization and Business Incubation Group (CBIG). He gave a brief introduction to AIPO—its journey since 2019 and how it supports innovators through various programs and initiatives.
Engr Mirasol also brought forward the Ateneo Blue Nest Incubation Program, AIPO’s initiative catering to startups focused on technology innovations and sustainability. He showcased various startup teams incubated under the program and notable milestones achieved through the help of Ateneo Blue Nest.
A lively Q&A followed before the group moved to the Ateneo Fabrication Laboratory at the PLDT-Convergent Technologies Center (CTC). There, they got a quick look at the lab’s equipment and capabilities—an essential resource for startups and researchers.
This visit marks another step in AIPO’s ongoing efforts to expand its partnerships and network with key innovation hubs worldwide. By engaging with organizations like New Energy Nexus Vietnam, AIPO strengthens its commitment to nurturing a more dynamic and collaborative ecosystem for technology development, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. Looking ahead, AIPO aims to build more strategic connections that will enhance its capacity to support innovators and bring impactful solutions to a broader community.
