On October 15, 2024, the Ateneo Intellectual Property Office (AIPO) hosted two insightful events as part of this year’s Talakayang Alay sa Bayan (TALAB), an annual Ateneo event dedicated to exploring critical national issues. Under the theme “Integral Ecology: Caring for Our Common Home,” AIPO’s sessions focused on utilizing innovation and intellectual property to drive sustainable ecological impact. The events—a hands-on workshop titled “Creative Minds: Navigating Ideation, Prototyping, and Intellectual Property Essentials” and a panel discussion entitled “Innovating for a Greener Tomorrow: Startups in Action for Integral Ecology”—offered practical insights into the connection between creativity, entrepreneurship, and environmental care.
This workshop engaged 60 participants eager to explore innovative solutions to environmental challenges. Through interactive activities that integrated ideation techniques, prototyping, and key intellectual property concepts, the workshop encouraged attendees to approach ecological issues with fresh perspectives and actionable strategies.

The speakers conducted two presentations: a Design Thinking Workshop and an Introduction to Intellectual Property Basics, emphasizing the crucial role that creativity and intellectual property play in fostering long-term environmental care.
