The event commenced with opening remarks from IPOPHL Director General Atty Rowel S Barba, who emphasized the importance of collaboration in achieving a robust and inclusive IP ecosystem in the Philippines. IPOPHL’s various bureaus and offices presented their 2024 milestones, programs, and accomplishments – Bureau of Copyright and Other Related Rights (BCRR), Bureau of Trademarks (BOT), Bureau of Patents (BOP), Bureau of Legal Affairs (BLA), Documentation, Information, and Technology Transfer Bureau (DITTB), and IP Academy (IPA). A key segment of the program was the Stakeholders’ Feedback Session, where participants were invited to provide valuable input and recommendations to enhance IPOPHL’s programs and initiatives.

One of the highlights of the forum was the launch of the Philippine Intellectual Property Strategy (PIPS) 2025-2030, aptly named Hapag-Isipan or Banquet of Ideas. This strategic roadmap aims to position the Philippines as a global hub for creativity and innovation, reinforcing the country’s commitment to advancing intellectual property protection and development. The ceremonial signing of the strategy solidified IPOPHL’s dedication to fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

The event concluded with a networking luncheon, allowing participants to build connections and exchange ideas in a collegial setting.

The Ateneo Intellectual Property Office expresses its gratitude to IPOPHL for hosting this significant event and remains steadfast in its mission to support initiatives that promote intellectual property awareness, protection, and innovation, contributing to national development.
